Employment and Job Fairs

“Improving our economy and securing jobs for my constituents is my #1 priority.”

– David Scott

Good Jobs Means a Better Future

I’ve always believed in the old proverb “ Give a man a fish,  you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.  That was the thought behind David’s job fair. He wanted to provide his constituents with a way they could gain financial security. As an entrepreneur, and working with businesses, David understood that America’s businesses holds the key to creating jobs and spreading economic prosperity. It has been 16 years now since David held his first jobs fair. The number of attendees has grown and with close to 150 of Georgia’s top employers participating, it has become one Georgia’s largest jobs fairs.

Fighting For Minimum Wage

In Congress, David supported and voted for raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour. And he also leads the fight to protect the Davis Bacon Act. The Act requires laborers and mechanics to be paid the local prevailing wages on public works projects.
